Syllable Onsets

Syllable Onsets is a scholarly work, published in 1999 in ''Journal of Speech, Language, and Hearing Research''. The main subjects of the publication include markedness, phonotactics, syllable, natural language processing, artificial intelligence, psychology, reading, language development, speech perception, phonology, Sonority hierarchy, speech recognition, optimality theory, linguistics, mathematics, generalization, psycholinguistics, and computer science. Results indicated that children learned adjuncts consistent with patterns of within-class generalization, thereby supporting the view that these sequences are unmarked in structure.
