List of subdivisions of Bihar
Subdivision in Bihar is an administrative unit below District level. A district may have one or more subdivisions. There are 101 subdivisions in Bihar.
Subdivisions are a group of Blocks, which is administered by SDO or SDM and DSP. SDM and DSP are similar to DM and SP at district level. DM, SDM, SP, DSP all are members of either the Union Indian Administrative Service or the Bihar Civil Service Some SDO's and District Magistrates also come from the ranks of BCS, but majority are members of the IAS.
