Streptococcaceae

Streptococcaceae, from Ancient Greek στρεπτός, meaning "twisted", and κόκκος, meaning "grain", are a family of gram-positive bacteria, placed within the order Lactobacillales. Representative genera include Lactococcus, Lactovum, and Streptococcus.
