Steven Ware

Steven Ware is a British-Canadian architect based in Paris.

Early life and education

Born in London, Ware studied biology at Western University, London, Ontario and later completed his architectural degree at the Architectural Association School of Architecture in London.

Career

Ware started his career as an architect with Marc Rolinet and Philippe Chiambaretta. He joined ArtBuild Architects and became a senior partner with the firm in 2017, with multiple projects completed.
Ware is the author of Montreal : A Guide to Recent Architecture. He has also co-authored and published other works related to his field.

Design approach

Ware works frequently with emergent mass timber techniques. Notable among the projects he delivered using mass timber includes Opalia, the first mass timber office building in central Paris. Ware also engages bio-inspired approaches in much of his work with the ArtBuild firm.
