Statistical characterization of heading stimuli in natural environments using SLAM

Statistical characterization of heading stimuli in natural environments using SLAM is a scholarly work by Kostas Alexis, published in 2018 in ''Journal of Vision''. The main subjects of the publication include Archaeological natural, lidar, Simultaneous localization and mapping, artificial intelligence, heading, -, computer science, and visual perception. Theoretical work suggests that such biases may result from a combination of efficient encoding and probabilistic decoding, where both encoding and decoding mechanisms are constrained based on natural stimulus distributions (Wei & Stocker 2015).
