St. Thomas Mount Assembly constituency
The St. Thomas Mount Assembly constituency was one of the 234 Tamil Nadu [Legislative Assembly|state legislative assembly] constituencies in Tamil Nadu, a state in southern India. It was in existence for the 1967 [Madras State Legislative Assembly election|1967] and 1971 [Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly election|1971] assembly elections. At that time, this constituency was represented only by the former chief [minister of Tamil Nadu] M. G. Ramachandran. Later, it was merged with the Alandur [Assembly constituency|Alandur assembly constituency] from the 1977 [Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly election|1977] assembly election.
