Specular and diffuse reflectance in microfacet models

Specular and diffuse reflectance in microfacet models is a scholarly work by Edwin Hancock, published in 2009. The main subjects of the publication include computer graphics, optics, reflective programming, bidirectional reflectance distribution function, reflectance, Monte Carlo method, diffuse reflection, surface roughness, specular highlight, Fresnel equations, surface, color constancy, materials science, and specular reflection. The authors show how the relative contributions of specular and diffuse reflectance can be found analytically for such microfacet models using Fresnel theory.
