Shahid Mahmood Baig


Shahid Mahmood Baig is a Pakistani scientist and geneticist. Currently working as an advisor at COMSTECH.

Education and Academic Career

Shahid Mahmood Baig was born in Pakistan. He earned his F.Sc. in 1978, and B.Sc. in 1981 from Gordon College Rawalpindi, M.Sc. in 1984, MPhil in 1986, and PhD in 1997 from Quaid-I-Azam University Islamabad, first postdoc from King Saud University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in 2000, and second postdoc from Duke University, Durham, NC, USA, in 2012.
In 2023, Baig was elected a Fellow of the Pakistan Academy of Sciences.
