Sercus
Sercus is a commune in the Nord department in northern France.
History
In the past, Sercus was on a Roman road that went from Cassel to Aire-sur-la-Lys, going through Oxelaëre, Staple, Wallon-Cappel, Thiennes and from Aire-sur-la-Lys continued towards Amiens via Saint-Pol-sur-Ternoise and Doullens.During the Ancien Régime, the parish was included in the former Diocese of Thérouanne, and after it was abolished in 1557, the parish was transferred to the Diocese of Saint-Omer.
