Samata Samaj Party


The Samata Samaj Party was a political party in India. It was formed on 30 October 2003 by Phool Singh Baraiya, the former Madhya Pradesh State President of the Bahujan Samaj Party, after he was expelled from that party. Baraiya became the party’s first president, while Sant Kumar, another expelled BSP leader, was appointed vice-president.

State leadership

The Punjab state president of the SSP was Darshan Singh Jethumajara.

Merger

On 7 July 2004, the Samata Samaj Party merged with the Lok Jan shakti Party.
