Roberto Carlos Leyva
Roberto Carlos Leyva Cortez is a Mexican former professional boxer who competed from 1998 to 2011. He held the International Boxing Federation mini-flyweight title from 2001 to 2002.
Professional career
Leyva turned professional in 1998 & compiled a record of 18–0 before facing & defeating Daniel Reyes to win the vacant IBF mini-flyweight title. He would lose the title to Colombian challenger Miguel Barrera. He would attempt to regain the title against Barrera but would also lose in the rematch. Leyva would get another shot at a world title when he faced Luis Concepción for the interim WBA flyweight title, Leyva would get stopped in the fourth round.Professional boxing record
