Rachel Herbert

Rachel Nicola Herbert was a British actress whose television appearances included roles in Deadline Midnight, Thursday Theatre, The Villains, No Hiding Place, Danger Man, The Power Game, and Thirty-Minute Theatre. She appeared in The Prisoner episode entitled "Free for All" as Number Fifty-Eight but ultimately revealed to be the new Number Two.
Other roles include ITV Play of the Week, Man in a Suitcase, Spindoe, The Champions, Callan, Special Branch, ITV [Saturday Night Theatre] ; episode 1 of Lord Peter Wimsey 's Clouds of Witness, Murder Must Advertise, The Pallisers, The Venturers, Softly, Softly: Taskforce, Shadows, The Professionals, Prince Regent, The Enigma Files, Minder, Crown Court, Screen Two, and The [House of Eliott].
Herbert's film appearances include Robbery, The Raging Moon and The Doctor and the Devils.
Herbert died on 7 March 2025, at the age of 90.
