Synthesis
Quinfamide is one of a relatively small family of antiamoebic compounds containing a dichloroacetamide function.The synthesis begins by amidation of 6-hydroxytetrahydroquinoline with dichloroacetyl chloride. The sequence is completed by acylation with 2-furoyl chloride.
