Pyotr Gorlov
Pyotr Nikolayevich Gorlov was a Russian geologist and engineer who explored coal deposits in the Donets Basin, the Caucasus, Central Asia and Ussuri Krai. The city of Gorlovka was named after him; the city has a monument in honor of him.
