Purpurinidae

The Purpurinidae are an extinct family of sea snails, marine gastropod molluscs in the order Neogastropoda.

Fossil record

These sea snails lived between the Upper Permian or Lopingian and the Lower Cretaceous. The fossils were found in Europe, Asia, North America and Africa.
