Ptuj City Cinema

Ptuj City Cinema is a cinema located in Ptuj, the oldest recorded town in Slovenia. It is the oldest still operating movie theater in the world, opened on 3 March 1897.
Guinness World Records book has so far incorrectly stated or simply doesn't know that the Ptuj cinema is older than both Eden Theatre and State Theatre.
Ptuj City Cinema has two screen rooms; the biggest one has capacity of 163 seats, and the newer smaller one has only 30 seats.
The big room changed name several times over the years; Kazina, Nemški društveni dom, Kino-Royal, Titov dom and Mestni kino Ptuj since 1946.
Unlike modern totally dark room multiplexes, this cinema still maintains more old fashioned insight, classic look style. It went through four major renovations over the years.
