In the latest classification of the family Conidae by Puillandre N., Duda T.F., Meyer C., Olivera B.M. & Bouchet P., Pseudonoduloconus has become a subgenus of Conus as Conus Tucker & Tenorio, 2009 represented as Conus Linnaeus, 1758
