Poanas Municipality
Poanas is a municipality in the Mexican List of [states of Mexico|state] of Durango. The municipal seat lies at Villa [Unión, Durango|Villa Unión]. The municipality covers an area of 1841 km2.
As of 2010, the municipality had a total population of 24,918, up from 23,466 as of 2005.
The municipality had 61 localities, the largest of which were: Villa Unión, classified as urban, and Cieneguilla, San Atenógenes , La [Joya, Durango|La Joya], Orizaba, and Narciso [Mendoza, Durango|Narciso Mendoza], classified as rural.
