It is found in North America, where it affects the genus Holodiscus.DescriptionThe fungus forms weak, very thin, often smooth growth, on the undersides of host leaves. P. ''holodisci, like most Erysiphaceae, is highly host-specific and infects only the genus Holodiscus.
