Pflugerville Independent School District
Pflugerville Independent School District is a public school district founded in 1902 and is based in Pflugerville, Texas. The District encompasses approximately ninety-five square miles and includes all or part of six municipalities including Pflugerville, Austin, Coupland, Hutto, Manor and Round Rock. PISD covers of land within the City of Austin, making up 3.4% of the city's territory.
In addition to Travis County, it covers parts of Williamson County.
In 2011, the school district was rated "academically acceptable" by the Texas Education Agency. In 2014, the district installed solar panels at 11 of its schools.
