Pericle Pagliani was an Italian long-distance runner who competed in the Athletics at the [1908 Summer Olympics – Men's 5 miles|men's 5 miles] and Athletics at the 1908 [Summer Olympics – Men's 3 miles team race|men's 3 miles team race] at the 1908 Summer Olympics.
Biography
He was the most famous Italian podist in the early twentieth century, the idol of the youngest Dorando Pietri, who decided to seriously engage in racing competitions when he battled him in a racing competition that took place in 1904 in his Carpi hometown.Achievements
