Pelecium chrissquirei


Pelecium chrissquirei is a species of beetle of the family Carabidae. This species is found in Brazil.

Description

Adults reach a length of about 7 mm. They have an ovate, flat body. The disc of the head, pronotum and elytra are black, with light metallic green reflections alongside.

Etymology

The species is named in honour of the British musician Christopher Russell Edward Squire, known as Chris Squire, who was one of the founding members and bass player of the progressive rock band Yes.
