PPADS
PPADS is a selective purinergic P2X antagonist. It is able to block contractions of rabbit vas deferens induced by ATP or α,β,methylene-ATP. It appears to be relatively selective for P2X receptors, having no appreciable activity at Alpha-1 [adrenergic receptor|α1 adrenergic], muscarinic Muscarinic [acetylcholine receptor M2|M2] and Muscarinic [acetylcholine receptor M3|M3], histamine Histamine [H1 receptor|H1], and adenosine Adenosine [A1 receptor|A1] receptors.
