The championship was created on March 13, 2005 when Naruki Doi defeated Yossino in a tournament final.Belt design
The first design of the belt, from 2005 to 2019, had the faceplate logo divided into eight pieces, each representing the eight wrestlers who fought in the tournament to determine the inaugural champion.
