Oliver Pell
Oliver Claude Pell was an English amateur cricketer who played from 1844 to 1848.
Oliver Pell was educated at Rugby School and Trinity College, Cambridge.
A right-handed batsman who was mainly associated with Cambridge University and Marylebone Cricket Club, he made 39 known appearances. He represented the Gentlemen in the Gentlemen v Players series and was an original member of William Clarke's All England Eleven.
Pell was called to the Bar from Lincoln's Inn in 1851, and practised at the Chancery Bar. He also won prizes at Wimbledon in rifle shooting and was a member of the English VIII which defeated Scotland in 1868.
