Halas
Yevtushenko was the editor-in-chief of Halas, the first Ukrainian-language music magazine established in independent Ukraine. Published between 1996 and 1998, the magazine released a total of 13 issues, the earliest of which were printed in the Czech Republic. Yevtushenko wanted to introduce a Western-style musical reporting format, modeling his approach after British publications—specifically Q and Melody Maker. Funded by the Ukrainian software firm, the magazine ceased operations in 1998 following financial hardship.
