Oil Tanker Moratorium Act
The Oil Tanker Moratorium Act, sometimes referred to as the West Coast Oil Tanker Moratorium Act, introduced and commonly referred to as Bill C-48, is an act of the Parliament of Canada and was passed by the 42nd Canadian Parliament in 2019. The Act was introduced as Bill C-48.

The act bans oil tankers carrying "more than 12,500 tons of crude oil or persistent oil" as cargo from stopping off the coast of British Columbia's north coast, from the northern tip of Vancouver Island to the border with Alaska.The act led to the cancellation of the Eagle Spirit Pipeline.
