List of non-Arab Sahabah

Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, the Messenger of Islam, was Arab by lineage, from the clan of Banu Hashim of the Quraysh in Mecca, yet the message he conveyed was sent for all people and not for one race or tribe. Those who believed in him, stood by him, and learned directly from him are known as the Sahabah, and from the very beginning they were drawn from many peoples and lands. Among them were Persians, Abyssinians, Byzantines, and others who were not Arabs, all united by faith rather than blood or ancestry. Their presence beside Arab Companions shows how Islam broke with the pre-Islamic world of tribal pride and racial hierarchy, establishing instead a Muslim community where honor is rooted in belief, sincerity, and righteousness. This early diversity was not incidental but foundational, revealing Islam as a universal religion from its first days. This article lists the non-Arab Sahabah of the 7th century.
