Niels Vink


Niels Vink is a Dutch wheelchair tennis player. He has won eight major singles titles, as well as a gold medal at the 2024 Paris Paralympics to complete the career Golden Slam. Vink has also won eleven major doubles titles, nine partnering Sam Schröder and two with Guy Sasson, as well as two Paralympic gold medals to complete the double career Golden Slam.

Early life

At the age of one year, Vink contracted a bacterial infection. As a result, he lost both legs and several phalanges.
At the age of nine, he attended the 2012 Summer Paralympics in London. This is where his ambition arose to one day participate in the Paralympic Games. After trying out a few sports, he chose wheelchair tennis.
