Namrata Rao
Namrata Rao is an Indian film editor in Hindi cinema. As an editor, she has worked on films such as Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!, Ishqiya, Band Baaja Baaraat, Ladies vs Ricky Bahl and Kahaani. In 2011, she received the Filmfare Award for Best Editing for Love Sex Aur Dhokha, and the National Film Award for Best Editing and Filmfare Award for Best Editing for Kahaani. She also directed the 2024 documentary, Angry Young Men.
Early life and education
Namrata Rao was born to a Konkani family in Kochi, Kerala, India but grew up in Delhi. She obtained a bachelor's degree in IT, then studied at the Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute where she completed a three-year course in film editing.Filmography
