NGC 5844
NGC 5844 is a planetary nebula in the constellation Triangulum Australe. It was initially discovered by British astronomer John Herschel on May 2, 1835. Given its magnitude of 13.2, NGC 5844 is visible with the help of a telescope having an aperture of 10 inches or more. The object is located approximately 4,474 light years away from the Earth, and is moving towards the Sun at a radial velocity of -0.0002 km/s.
