NGC 4335

NGC4335 is an elliptical galaxy in the constellation of Ursa Major. It was discovered by German-British astronomer William Herschel on 17 April 1789. Its velocity with respect to the cosmic microwave background is, which corresponds to a Hubble distance of.
NGC4335 is a radio galaxy, i.e. it has giant regions of radio emission extending well beyond its visible structure.
According to Abraham Mahtessian, NGC 4335 and NGC 4362 form a pair of galaxies.

Supermassive black hole

According to a study published in 2009, and based on the internal velocity of the galaxy measured by the Hubble Space Telescope, the mass of the supermassive [black hole] at the center of NGC 4335 is between 130 and 550 million [Solar mass|].

Supernova

One supernova has been observed in NGC 4335:SN1955E was discovered by Fritz Zwicky on photographic plates dated 10 May 1955, but they were not found until early 1968.
