History

Moto Kasadera Station was opened on 19 March 1917 as Kasadera Station on the Aichi Electric Railway. On 1 April 1935, the Aichi Electric Railway merged with the Nagoya Railroad. On 1 June 1943, with the opening of on the Japanese Government Railways Tōkaidō Main Line, the station name was changed to its present name.
