Motiullah Khan


Motiullah Khan, alternatively spelled Mutiullah Khan, was a Pakistani field hockey player. He won gold medal in the 1960 Summer Olympics, Pakistan's first Olympic gold, and silver medals in the 1956 and 1964 Summer Olympics. He was awarded the Tamgha-i-Imtiaz by the Government of Pakistan in 1963. The international hockey stadium in Bahawalpur, Motiullah Hockey Stadium, is named after him. He played over 68 international matches and scored 13 goals for his country.
Samiullah Khan and Kaleemullah Khan, the famous Olympic hockey players, are both his relatives.
