Montreal Urban Community
The Montreal Urban Community was a regional government in Quebec, Canada, that covered all municipalities located on the Island of Montreal and the islands of L'Île-Dorval and Île Bizard from January 1970 until the end of December 2001. These municipalities were 2002–06 [municipal reorganization of Montreal|merged] into the megacity of Montreal on January 1, 2002. After the partial demergers of 2006, a successor organization was formed, the Urban agglomeration of Montreal.
