Molecular evolution of interleukin-3

Molecular evolution of interleukin-3 is a scholarly work, published in 1994 in ''Journal of Molecular Evolution''. The main subjects of the publication include biology, genetics, innate immune response, computational biology, evolution, molecular evolution, natural killer cell, and evolutionary biology. The authors assume that during evolution of IL-3, the majority of the amino acid replacements and the impaired interspecies functional cross-reactivity originate from selection mechanisms with the most likely selective force being the structure of the heterodimeric IL.3 cell-surface receptor.
