Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport

Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport is the governmental body of Nepal mainly responsible for domestic transport and rail transport as well as waterways.
As of 9 January 2026, the ministry is headed by Madhav Chaulagain

Organisational structure

While the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation oversees air transportation, the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport deals with domestic transport including road and rail transportation as well as waterways.
