Mike Taliaferro

Myron Eugene Taliaferro is an American former professional football player who was a quarterback in the American Football League and National Football League. He played college football for the Illinois [Fighting Illini football|Illinois Fighting Illini], leading 1963 [NCAA University Division football rankings|third-ranked] 1963 [Illinois Fighting Illini football team|Illinois] to a 1964 [Rose Bowl] victory over 1963 [Washington Huskies football team|Washington] by the score of 17–7.
Taliaferro played in eight AFL and NFL seasons from 1964 to 1972 for three teams, and was an American [Football League All-Star game|AFL All-Star] in 1969. In 1974, Taliaferro signed with the Houston Texans of the World Football League.
