Methylenomycin A
Methylenomycin A is a cyclopentanone derived antibiotic produced by Streptomyces coelicolor A3 that is effective against both Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria. The last step of its biosynthesis is epoxidation of the alkene of methylenomycin C.
