Mechani-Kong
Mechani-Kong or Mecha Kong is a mecha kaiju in Toho's kaiju-franchise. He first appeared in The [King Kong Show], where he was built by the evil scientist ”Dr. Who” in order to fight King Kong.
After abandoning a remake of King Kong vs. Godzilla in 1991, Toho attempted to produce a film called Godzilla vs. Mechani-Kong, however, though Toho had created the live-action Mechani-Kong image, Turner [Entertainment Co.|Turner Entertainment] demanded payment for using King Kong's image, and the film was dropped in favor of Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah.
