Matthew Hutton (MP)


Matthew Hutton was an English politician who sat in the House of [Commons of England|House of Commons] from 1626.
Hutton was the son of Sir Timothy Hutton, Sheriff of Yorkshire in 1606, and his wife Elizabeth Bowes.
He matriculated from Trinity [College, Cambridge] at Easter 1615. In 1626, he was elected Member of Parliament for Richmond (Yorks) (UK [Parliament constituency)|Richmond]. He was a noted Royalist in the Civil War.
Hutton married Barbara Darcy, daughter of Conyers Darcy, 7th [Baron Darcy de Knayth|Sir Conyers Darcy], in 1617.
