Mary Muyali Meboka
Mary Muyali Meboka is a Cameroonian politician and one of five current Deputy Speakers of the National Assembly since 2022. She is a member of the Cameroon People's Democratic Movement and has been a member of the National Assembly since 2007. Meboka is the third Anglophone woman from Cameroon to hold the position of Deputy Speaker, after Rose Abunaw and Emilia Monjowa Lifaka.
Biography
Meboka was born in March 1961 in Tombel in the Southwest Region of Cameroon. She completed part of her education in Cameroon in Ekona, Mbengwi, and Mamfe before she proceeded for international studies. Mary Meboka holds a Master of Science in Development Training and Education from the University of Wolverhampton in England.Politics
Meboka served as Vice President of the Cameroon People's Democratic Movement Parliamentary Group from 2009 until her entry into the bureau of the National Assembly in 2022.On March 18, 2022 Meboka was elected as one of the Deputy Speakers of Cameroon's National Assembly during a plenary sitting.
