Mary Leacy
Mary Leacy is an Irish sportsperson. She won camogie All Star awards in 2004, 2007 and 2010. She plays camogie with her local club Oulart–The Ballagh and has been a member of the Wexford senior inter-county team since 2001. Leacy captained Wexford to the All-Ireland Senior [Ladies' Football Championship|All-Ireland] title in 2007 and won further All Irelands in 2010 and 2011, and a member of the Team of the Championship for 2011.
Family background
She is a daughter of Margaret O'Leary who won three All-Ireland medals with Wexford in 1968, 1969 and 1975. Margaret who was selected at left half-back on the camogie team of the century. Margaret's other honours include seven Gael [Linn Cup]s with Leinster in 1965, 1968, 1969, 1970, 1971, 1972 and 1978; five All-Ireland Clubs, with Eoghan Ruadh in 1967 and with Buffers Alley in 1978, 1981, 1982 and 1983; Gaelic All Star award 1968; captain of the first Wexford team to win the National League in 1977-'78.Mary's sister Una Leacy is also a star camogie player.
