Marriage Therapy is a scholarly work, published in 1963 in ''JAMA Psychiatry'' and ''Archives of General Psychiatry''. The main subjects of the publication include focus, wife, social psychology, therapeutic alliance, marriage, transactional analysis, couples therapy, distress, exposition, psychoanalysis, psychodynamics, psychology, and psychotherapy. The emphasis here will be upon types of relationship in marriage, but no attempt will be made to present a full exposition of the complexities of marriage; the focus will be upon marital distress and symptom formation.
