Marcia Richardson
Marcia Maureen Bailey née Richardson is a female retired athlete from England, who specialised in the sprinting events and competed at two Olympic Games.
Biography
Richardson represented Great Britain at two consecutive Summer Olympics, starting in 1996, as well as four World Championships. She represented England in the 100 and 200 metres and won a bronze medal in the 4 x 100 metres relay event, at the 1998 Commonwealth Games in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.Richardson became the British 100 metres champion after winning the British AAA Championships title at the 2000 AAA Championships, whch qualified her to compete at the 2000 Olympic Games.
At the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney, Richardson represented Great Britain in the 100 metres and 4 x 100 metres relay events.
