Manor Top tram stop
Manor Top is a tram stop on the South Yorkshire Supertram network, opened on 5 December 1994. It is located on Ridgeway Road, in Manor, near a small bus interchange with the same name. It is near Manor Top Medical Centre and Manor Library.
History
This stop was opened along with the track section between Spring Lane and Gleadless Townend in December 1994. The line was extended further to Halfway [tram stop (Sheffield)|Halfway] in March 1995.Layout
Manor Top tram stop has two Railway [platform height#Metro and light rail|low-level] side platforms, situated on either side of the wide road. The trams share the road with other traffic, temporarily merging into tram-only sections on the road to get to the platforms.At the centre of each platform, passenger information displays stand and show estimated arrival times for trams. There are also two short ramps at each end of the platforms, providing step-free access for passengers.
