MPEP (drug)
MPEP, also known as 1-pyrrolidine, is a stimulant drug of the phenethylamine, amphetamine, and phenylethylpyrrolidine families. It is the α-methyl derivative of phenylethylpyrrolidine. Notable derivatives of MPEP include prolintane, α-PPP, α-PVP, pyrovalerone, and MDPV, among others. These compounds are known to act as norepinephrine–dopamine reuptake inhibitors to produce their stimulant effects. MPEP was first described in the scientific literature by R. V. Heinzelman and B. D. Aspergren by 1953.
