MES Asmabi College
MES Asmabi College, a premier educational institution managed by the Muslim Education society calicut, owes its existence to the remarkable foresight and unremitting zeal of the late Dr. P. K. Abdul Gafoor, the late P K Abdul I A S, Dr. M A Abdulla and late Dr. A K Siddiq Karikulam Azhikod.
The college started functioning in 1968 at P Vemballur in Kodungallur, Thrissur district, Kerala., Kodungallur, a remote coastal backward village in the S.N Puram Pachayath of the Trissur District with the objective uplifting the educationally backward community, especially Muslims of the area who had been denied, the right to education for generations. The college is affiliated with Calicut University. This college provides higher education to above 2500 students in thirteen undergraduate, four B.Voc and seven Post Graduate Courses, Three departments of the college have been recognised as Research centeres of the university.
