Lothar Geitler
Lothar Geitler was an Austrian botanist and cytologist. He was born in Vienna. His main research interests included blue-green algae, diatoms, lichen symbioses and chromosome structure.
The cyanobacteria genus Geitlerinema was named in his honour in 1989.
