Lorenzo Sears


Lorenzo Sears was an American historian and biographer.
He was born in Searsville, Massachusetts. He graduated from Yale College in 1861 and from the General [Theological Seminary], New [York City|New York] in 1864. He was rector of various Episcopalian parishes in New England until 1885. From 1885 to 1903 he served as professor at the University of Vermont and at Brown University.
His wife was the textile artist Adeline Harris Sears.
